Christmas!

This Christmas was short. Maybe it's because I'm getting older, things are changing. Christmas used to be a week long celebration, but what with all of my family working in retail and living in different parts of the UK it was quite brief but lovely this year. I worked Christmas Eve and Boxing Day but managed to spend Christmas Eve evening and all of Christmas Day together.

My sister was a culinary superstar; she baked and baked and baked! I was a little sad this year as I had no time to make or bake anything, but she more than made up for it! We had cinnamon cookies, mince pies, and the best nut roast I've ever eaten! Seriously, this thing was good. Packed with cashew nuts, it was moist and lightly spiced. Delish.
